Carlo Collivignarelli

Emeritus Professor of Sanitary-Environmental Engineering at the Department of Civil Engineering, Architecture, Land, Environment and Mathematics, University of Brescia. Degree in Chemical Engineering. At university he conducts research in the field of advanced wastewater treatment, sludge treatment and waste management. He is the author of more than 400 publications at national and international level. He has participated as a speaker or chairman in over a hundred scientific conferences in Italy and abroad. He has organised and coordinated conferences on solid waste, wastewater and drinking water treatment. He was, until October 2017, director of CetAmb (Centre for Documentation and Research on Appropriate Technologies for Environmental Management in Developing Countries), a structure active since April 2000 at the University of Brescia. He coordinates the Working Group ""Management of sewage treatment plants"" active at the University of Brescia since 1998, which brings together about 200 plant operators, researchers and operators in the sector. From 2008 to 2020 he was a member of the National Commission for Environmental Impact Assessment (CTVIA) at the Ministry of the Environment. Since 1976, he has also carried out professional activities, through the Ecotecno associated firm in Pavia, mainly in the field of water treatment and waste treatment/disposal.
