Since 2022 she has been a temporary researcher at DICATAM, University of Brescia, in Environmental Health Engineering, working on the study of urban wastewater and liquid waste treatment, solid waste and sewage sludge recovery and disposal, industrial symbiosis, and Water, Hygiene and Sanitation (WASH) for international development cooperation. She graduated in Engineering for the Environment and the Territory from the Polytechnic of Turin in 2006 and worked for 8 years as an environmental engineer in the public, private and non-profit sectors. In 2017, she obtained her PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering in appropriate methodologies and techniques for international development cooperation at the University of Brescia. As a postdoctoral fellow, she conducted studies and research in WASH in development and humanitarian aid projects, at CeTAmb LAB, University of Brescia (2017), Tufts University, Boston, USA (2018-2020), and studies for sewage sludge treatment and recovery at DICATAM, University of Brescia (2021). She is a member of the board of the Italian Group of Environmental Sanitary Engineering (GITISA). She contributes as a reviewer and guest editor to several international journals including "Conservation" and"Journal of Water, Sanitation & Hygiene for Development.
