When: 25 October 2023 - Hour 09:00
Location: Brescia
The 65th Sanitary-Environmental Engineering Study Day, organised by the University of Brescia, will be held on 25 October 2023 and will be accessible both in presence, at the Auditorium Collegio Lucchini, and online via telematic link. The event is dedicated to the impacts of climate change on the supply of safe drinking water, with a focus on technological solutions, water quality and management experiences adopted to face the new challenges.
The day's programme will be divided into morning and afternoon sessions, with talks by academic experts and industry professionals. In the morning, after introductory greetings, the main effects of climate change on water quality and water production and distribution systems will be discussed, with presentations on topics such as the hydrological cycle and climate risk management strategies.
In the afternoon, the focus will shift to corporate experiences, with the presentation of case studies on drought management, water quality monitoring and the use of advanced technologies such as ultrafiltration and water production from alternative sources. Innovative solutions such as desalination and reuse of wastewater for drinking water supply will also be explored.
The meeting is an opportunity for engineers and industry professionals to update themselves on state-of-the-art practices and obtain Professional Training Credits (CFPs), with 6 CFPs recognised for engineers who attend the entire event.
