Science for environmental care
We are a group of researchers from the Universities of Pavia and Brescia who have been working on environmental issues for more than 30 years. With different but undoubtedly complementary skills, we study the phenomena of air, water and soil pollution, testing both 'innovative' and 'sustainable' innovations capable of combating these phenomena. Our mission is summarised well by the name 'CosmoCaos' and our logo.
Nowadays, we see environmental pollution issues on a global scale and a solution is increasingly more urgent, given the negative impact these issues have on all aspects of our lives, first and foremost on our health.
We believe that the right solutions can be found only through top scientific competence, which needs to be 'appropriate' and 'sustainable' in the specific context.
Our slogan is 'Science for Environmental Care', which means using science to take care of the environment around us. Over the year, the researchers in our group have focused their work on a variety of topics and this allows us to provide expertise covering the entire spectrum of sanitation and environmental engineering, from drinking water treatment to wastewater treatment to solid waste management and air and soil pollution.
This broad spectrum of expertise (which is difficult to find in a single researcher, no matter how good and well-prepared) makes the work of this 'group' particularly suitable for dealing with the increasingly complex environmental issues of our time.
